Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with 5–7 years of experience in driving revenue growth, client acquisition, and strategic partnerships — preferably in the B2B eCommerce, IT outsourcing, or data services domain.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to identify, qualify, and close high-value business opportunities. This role goes beyond sales — it involves consultative selling, client relationship management, and strategic growth planning. The BDM will work closely with leadership to position the company as a trusted partner in eCommerce outsourcing and IT operations, helping global clients scale efficiently through data, automation, and digital enablement.
This role demands a strong business acumen, understanding of eCommerce workflows, and the ability to connect operational needs with scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
(A) Business Strategy & Revenue Growth
1. Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
2. Identify new market opportunities in eCommerce operations, product data outsourcing, and IT automation services.
3. Create a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, lead generation, and networking.
4. Build and maintain long-term business relationships with clients and partners.
5. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor positioning, and client needs.
6. Develop partnership programs and growth opportunities with technology or outsourcing partners.
(B) Client Acquisition & Account Expansion
1. Generate leads through outreach (LinkedIn, email, referrals, industry databases, etc.) and convert them into qualified prospects.
2. Conduct consultative sales discussions, understanding client needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
3. Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to design proposals, presentations, and pricing plans.
4. Negotiate terms and close contracts, ensuring profitability and long-term value.
5. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities among existing clients to expand revenue streams.
6. Maintain a structured CRM system to manage leads, deals, and client communications.
(C) Strategic Planning & Collaboration
1. Work with senior management to develop quarterly growth plans and go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
2. Partner with marketing teams to align campaigns, events, and digital marketing initiatives with BD goals.
3. Provide client feedback and market intelligence to influence service improvements and new offerings.
4. Collaborate with the operations and delivery teams to ensure client expectations are met post-sale.
5. Develop detailed reports and dashboards for revenue forecasting and sales analytics.
6. Support leadership in identifying new verticals, geographies, and industries for expansion.
(D) Client Relationship Management & Consultation
1. Act as a trusted consultant to clients, understanding their pain points and business models.
2. Propose relevant solutions around eCommerce outsourcing, automation, and IT efficiency.
3. Conduct periodic business reviews with clients to measure performance and satisfaction.
4. Build credibility through insight-driven conversations that highlight ROI and long-term scalability.
5. Ensure a seamless transition from sales to operations by coordinating with internal teams.
(E) Leadership, Team Coordination & Reporting
1. Mentor and guide Business Development Executives and Lead Generation Specialists.
2. Set performance goals and review KPIs regularly to track conversion and growth metrics.
3. Maintain clear communication with internal departments regarding upcoming projects and pipeline health.
4. Represent the company in virtual and in-person business meetings, exhibitions, and client demos.
5. Provide structured weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to management on revenue performance.
Qualifications & Eligibility
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in business development, preferably in B2B services, eCommerce, or IT outsourcing industries.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets consistently.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce, SaaS, and automation-driven business models.
• Experience in international client acquisition and working with global markets (US, UK, Middle East, etc.).
Skills & Competence
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and consultative selling capabilities.
• Deep understanding of B2B sales cycles, RFP/RFQ processes, and solution selling.
• Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, etc.) and data-driven reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously while maintaining quality client interactions.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Upwork, and outbound sales tools.
• Strong market research, competitor analysis, and prospecting abilities.
