Summary
We are looking for a Database & Excel Automation Executive with 3+ years of hands-on experience in managing data systems, automating workflows, and creating smart reporting solutions using Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and scripting tools.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data and automation — building seamless data pipelines, cleaning and transforming data, creating dashboards, and implementing Excel or Google Sheets-based automation to optimize business processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in database management, formulas, macros, VBA scripting, and data visualization, along with the curiosity and technical skills to automate repetitive workflows and ensure data consistency across systems.
Key Responsibilities
(A) Data Management & System Maintenance
1. Maintain, update, and validate structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.
2. Design and manage databases in MySQL, Google BigQuery, Airtable, or similar environments.
3. Ensure high data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems and reports.
4. Import, export, and synchronize data between internal systems, CRMs, and automation tools.
5. Implement data cleaning and validation scripts to ensure real-time data integrity.
(B) Excel & Google Sheets Automation
1. Develop and maintain advanced Excel and Google Sheets dashboards for tracking performance metrics, operations, and reporting.
2. Build automated Excel workflows using formulas, VBA scripts, and macros to eliminate repetitive manual tasks.
3. Use Google Apps Script to connect Sheets with external APIs, CRMs, or databases for real-time updates.
4. Design dynamic reporting templates that auto-refresh and generate insights for management teams.
5. Create pivot tables, lookup formulas, and conditional logic models for analytical decision-making.
(C) Reporting, Dashboards & Data Visualization
1. Develop performance dashboards that consolidate data from multiple departments (sales, operations, inventory, marketing).
2. Build executive-level summary reports using Google Data Studio, Power BI, or Tableau (optional but preferred).
3. Automate weekly and monthly report generation using pre-defined templates.
4. Visualize key KPIs such as sales trends, efficiency metrics, and data accuracy scores.
5. Present findings and optimization insights to management teams for data-driven decisions.
(D) Workflow Automation & Process Optimization
1. Identify manual data handling processes and implement automation using Zapier, Make (Integromat), or Python scripts.
2. Collaborate with developers and automation specialists to connect databases with other business systems.
3. Streamline reporting structures by centralizing data sources and removing redundancy.
4. Ensure data pipelines are scalable, secure, and error-free.
5. Support internal teams with data integration between CRMs, marketplaces, and spreadsheets.
(E) Documentation, Collaboration & Support
1. Maintain documentation for all Excel models, scripts, macros, and data automation workflows.
2. Provide ongoing support to internal teams for report usage, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
3. Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports and dashboards.
4. Train team members on best practices for data handling, sheet automation, and basic formulas.
5. Suggest improvements to data collection and processing strategies based on operational needs.
