Summary
We are looking for a performance-driven Operations Manager (eCommerce Division) with 4+ years of experience in managing daily eCommerce operations, team supervision, and process optimization across multiple marketplaces or online stores.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless end-to-end operations — from product onboarding and catalog management to order fulfillment, logistics coordination, and customer satisfaction. This role requires an individual with deep operational knowledge, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to drive efficiency and consistency across all eCommerce workflows.
The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in standardizing processes, improving service delivery, and ensuring smooth collaboration across teams such as sales, marketing, product, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities
(A) Operational Strategy & Planning
1. Oversee daily eCommerce operations across multiple channels (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, Flipkart, etc.).
2. Develop and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for order management, inventory, and fulfilment.
3. Create operational roadmaps and KPIs aligned with company objectives and growth plans.
4. Coordinate between internal departments to ensure all functions operate smoothly and efficiently.
5. Optimize existing workflows to reduce turnaround time and operational costs.
(B) Team Leadership & Supervision
1. Manage and mentor a team of operations executives, product upload specialists, logistics coordinators, and support staff.
2. Allocate responsibilities and track team performance using project management tools.
3. Conduct weekly performance reviews and provide coaching for productivity improvement.
4. Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and process excellence.
5. Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members in the eCommerce division.
(C) Product & Catalog Management
1. Supervise product listing, content accuracy, pricing updates, and inventory synchronization across all marketplaces and websites.
2. Ensure all product listings meet SEO and platform compliance guidelines.
3. Coordinate with design and content teams to improve product visibility and conversion.
4. Monitor catalog performance and identify underperforming SKUs for optimization or removal.
5. Collaborate with suppliers and fulfilment partners for product availability and timely restocking.
(D) Order Management & Fulfilment
1. Ensure end-to-end order processing — from confirmation to dispatch and delivery — runs smoothly.
2. Liaise with logistics providers and warehouses to resolve delivery or return issues.
3. Implement systems for tracking SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and minimizing order delays or cancellations.
4. Analyze fulfilment performance and implement measures for improving speed and accuracy.
5. Manage refunds, replacements, and customer satisfaction escalations efficiently.
(E) Process Optimization & Reporting
1. Identify inefficiencies and implement automation or process improvements across key workflows.
2. Maintain dashboards for operational KPIs such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and fulfilment rate.
3. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for leadership review.
4. Work with tech and automation teams to streamline repetitive tasks using tools like Zapier, Make, or Google Sheets automation.
5. Ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and complete visibility of operations.
(F) Cross-Functional Collaboration
1. Coordinate with Marketing for promotions, pricing updates, and campaign readiness.
2. Collaborate with Finance for vendor payments, reconciliations, and margin analysis.
3. Partner with Customer Support to resolve escalations and improve post-purchase experience.
4. Communicate updates and insights to senior management for decision-making.
5. Align with Business Development teams to onboard new clients or stores efficiently.
Qualifications & Eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, eCommerce, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in eCommerce operations, preferably in a managerial or lead role.
• Strong understanding of Shopify, WooCommerce, and marketplace backends (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, etc.).
• Knowledge of order fulfilment processes, logistics coordination, and vendor management.
• Experience in handling multi-channel eCommerce operations and team supervision.
Skills & Competence
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and data-driven decision-making.
• Hands-on experience with eCommerce tools and dashboards (Shopify Admin, Amazon Seller Central, etc.).
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across multiple teams.
• Experience in workflow automation using Zapier, Make, or Python scripts (preferred).
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and handle multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Knowledge of inventory forecasting and demand planning.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for operational excellence.
