Summary
We are looking for a data-driven Product Research Analyst with at least 2 years of experience in identifying trending products, evaluating market opportunities, and recommending profitable niches across global marketplaces. This role blends analytical rigor with creativity — ideal for someone who thrives in discovering “what sells next."
You will leverage analytical tools, competitor insights, and consumer behavior data to identify high-margin opportunities, forecast product performance, and guide strategic listing and pricing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
(A) Product Discovery & Market Evaluation
1. Identify trending and high-demand products using research tools (Helium10, JungleScout, Keepa, etc.).
2. Conduct detailed market, price, and competitor analysis to assess product viability.
3. Evaluate product lifecycle stages, seasonality, and margin potential.
(B) Data Analytics & Performance Forecasting
1. Build data models to forecast revenue, cost, and ROI for potential SKUs.
2. Create visual dashboards and reports summarizing insights.
3. Analyze sales patterns, keyword demand, and consumer sentiment.
(C) Strategic Consultation
1. Recommend product categories and pricing strategies aligned with client goals.
2. Advise marketing and listing teams on product positioning and keyword optimization.
3. Provide actionable insights on market gaps and innovation opportunities.
(D) Reporting & Continuous Learning
1. Prepare weekly insight decks summarizing trends, threats, and opportunities.
2. Track product launch performance and optimize recommendations based on data feedback.
3. Stay updated with evolving marketplace policies and category trends.
Qualifications & Eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, or Commerce.
• Minimum 2 years in eCommerce or market research.
Skills & Competence
• Proficiency with data research tools (Helium10, DataHawk, Excel, Google Sheets).
• Strong analytical, numerical, and visualization skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation ability.
